At Udzungwa Forest Camp we have a variety of different activities and things to do that are different to those found in typical destinations in Tanzania. A stay in Udzungwa allows you to get out of the vehicle and do something new.

  • Cycling - Mountain biking around the Kilombero Valley or Mang'ula village - its flat!
  • Hiking and trekking - Choose anything from a half hour stroll through the forest to a six day trek across the mountains
  • Ifakara Day Trip - Spend the day wandering around this friendly rural market town
  • Traditional Dugout Canoe Trip - Spend a relaxing few hours on a traditional dug out canoe floating along the Kilomero River - excellent for birdwatchers!
  • Cultural tours - experience daily life in the Kilombero Valley with one of these guided visits to schools, villages, orphanages or farmlands
  • Ngoma - Enjoy an evening of traditional drumming, dancing and singing by local villagers
  • Game Driving in Mikumi National Park - Experience wild Africa and enjoy a day on safari in the bush
  • Rubber Plantation - Visit a rubber plantation and see where this amazing substance comes from and how it is processed
